A brief chronology of the School
Santa Cruz International School is celebrating 25 years in 2017! The school was founded in 1992 by our first Director General, Mr. Kevin Joseph Hanley B.A., H.D.E. (†), with the objective of providing an English medium education of an international standard to residents of Santa Cruz. The school is not affiliated to or supported by any foreign or domestic government agency, religious group or corporate entity. The school is functioning is registered with the Ministry of Education of the Plurinational State of Bolivia with Administrative Resolution 08/2016.
SCIS operates on a southern hemisphere calendar with classes beginning on the first Monday of February and finishing the last week in November. Our school calendar allows for short breaks at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarter and a 3-week winter vacation at the end of June.
